Chess

Chess is not just a game, but a powerful tool for developing logical thinking, concentration and strategic thinking. Our classes help children learn to analyze situations, anticipate the consequences of their actions and find non-standard solutions. These are skills that will be useful not only at the chessboard, but also in studies, sports and life.

Group classes

We offer two formats of training: group and individual lessons, in Russian and English. Both formats are aimed at developing logical thinking, strategic vision and decision-making skills, but are chosen depending on the student’s goals and level of preparation.

Group classes are a great way to combine learning with socializing and interaction. Our groups are organized by level so that children can learn together with others of their own level. We adapt the program to the age of the students so that the material is clear and interesting. For example, for younger groups we use more games and interactive tasks, and for older groups we deepen the theory and add analysis of complex games.

We divide children into two categories:

BeginnersWe teach the basics: how the pieces move, what checkmate and checkmate are, how to build simple tactical combinations. The emphasis is on game practice and developing interest in chess.

Averages: For children who already know the basics and want to deepen their knowledge. Here we learn more complex strategies, tactics and game analysis, learn to anticipate the opponent’s moves and make long-term plans.

Our coaches have over 20 years of qualified experience and some are nationally recognized masters!

Individual lessons

Chess actively develops emotional intelligence by teaching you to recognize feelings and anticipate the behavior of your opponents in real-life game conditions. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes three key stages:

  • Theory: Explanation of rules, tactics or strategies.
  • Practice: Solving chess problems and analyzing examples from real games.
  • Game: Pupils play with the trainer, putting new knowledge into practice.

What do you need for the class?

No special equipment is required to participate in the classes: all necessary materials (chess boards, pieces) are provided at the Evrika Center. However, for home practice it is recommended to have access to a chessboard or online platforms for playing.
